Beyond Beneficiaries: Transforming Migrant Domestic Workers to Impact Partners

HELP for Domestic Workers is a Hong Kong-based charity. HELP’s mission is to empower migrant domestic workers in Hong Kong to access their rights through education, advice, community and employer engagement.

Amplify Consulting is a Hong Kong-based consultancy working with nonprofits, for profits, and individuals to amplify voices, strengthen capabilities and enhance social impact.

The Project:

  • The project goal is to transform migrant domestic workers in Hong Kong from ‘beneficiaries’ to ‘partners’ in creating social impact.
  • Through participatory and community-led programme design, we aim to develop a pilot leadership programme that empowers community leaders to actively shape decisions based on their community’s collective needs. This will ensure the long-term sustainability of interventions across the NGO sector.
